Pre Historic Sites - Elementaita Country Lodge

Kenya is renowned for its many pre historic sites, which you will find worthwhile visiting. At Elementaita Country Lodge, you will have a chance of visiting Hyrax Hill and Kariandusi pre historic sites, which are 15 km and 5 km respectively from the lodge.

Hyrax Hill was formed as a museum in 1965 with a variety of ethnographic materials. Hyrax Hill is a renowned archaeological site and is visited by thousands of people conducting research on East Africa’s prehistory period.

Kariandusi Pre-historic site, which was first discovered in 1928, has a museum that contains exhibits such as Stone-Age hand axes, black volcano glass knives and many more.
